Lesson Policies
Lessons are billed monthly, in advance. Tuition is due on/by the first lesson of the month
If the teacher has a scheduled vacation or holiday, lessons will not be charged for the previously communicated time period.
Students may pay via cash, card, Venmo, or PayPal
Payments should be received on/by the first lesson of each month. Late payments will be assessed a $10 late fee per student, per week
Tuition rates are subject to change at the beginning of each school year
Discontinuing Lesson/Taking a Break
You may discontinue lessons at any time, providing notice of cancellation at least 10 days prior to the next billing date. You may opt to take or forfeit any remaining lessons. Tuition will not be refunded. This same policy applies to students who wish to “take a break.” since lesson availability is not guaranteed upon desired return
Attendance
- Lessons are scheduled per semester for the same time slot each week
- There are 3 semesters each year:
- Summer: July-August
- Fall: August – January
- Spring: February – June
- If the student must cancel a scheduled lesson, 24 hours notice should be given. The student may then either:
- Schedule a make-up lesson (each student is guaranteed 2 make-ups per semester)
- Cancel for a credit towards next month’s tuition (each student is guaranteed 1 cancellation per semester)
- Should the teacher need to cancel a lesson, the student may request a makeup or a cancellation credit (which will not count against the student’s guaranteed makeups or cancellations remaining.)
- Students who arrive late will receive only the remaining time left in their lesson slot
- Students who are more than 15 minutes late forfeit their lesson slot for that week
- Studio Holidays (no lessons are billed for these days):
- Labor Day weekend
- Thanksgiving: Thursday and Friday
- Winter Break: typically December 24th through January 1st
- Memorial Day weekend
- 4th of July
